This Service is intended to help you learn the obscure and interesting detail behind the things people eat and drink — the kind of knowledge that usually sits in specialist textbooks, trade courses, or nowhere at all.
It began with wine, and wine remains its deepest subject: wine regions, grape varieties, winemaking methods, viticulture, tasting, service, and the terminology and classification systems that go with them.
